David Ronnefalk born in 1996 is a professional Radio Control Racing driver from Karlskrona, Sweden. Dedicated and focused on challenging for victory at each event he attends during the busy yearly racing schedule.
David started racing aged 7 and embarked on his full professional career six years later in 2009 when he took his first Swedish National Championship title as well as being crowned European ‘B’ Champion.
Introduced to RC by his father Pierre whom at that time was flying RC planes as a hobby, as David was still young Pierre opted to show him the cars instead of planes.
David´s first RC car was a Kyosho Mini-Z which he drove with all the time at his local club in Karlskrona.
David’s journey would continue when he met Magnus Amilon, Sweden’s most decorated 1/8 Buggy RC Racer at the time, living only 30 mins from David in the neighbouring town in Sweden.
Magnus introduced David to 1/8 scale and on his 5th birthday Pierre gave him a second hand Kyosho MP7.5 Kanai 3. David would attend his first race, the regional Swedish Cup in 2003, he would start to ascend the rankings quickly and the overall winner of the cup in 2006 & 2007 - the young and unique talent earning significant recognition and fans along the way.
In 2016 David won the World Championship in 1/8 Buggy held in Las Vegas, he became the youngest ever to win the prestigous buggy class.
When David has some time off he enjoys golf or active sports such as padel or floorball. Today David is a full time professional driver & travels the world to race and represent his sponsors at all events.
